About this creation

Look closely at the door frames, beams and fireplaces of old English houses and churches and you will often find circles scratched into the wood and stone: six-petalled flowers drawn with a compass. They are daisy wheels, or hexafoils, and for centuries people cut them near doors, windows and chimneys, the places where something unwelcome might find a way in. East Anglia's churches are full of them.

Ours is etched into natural slate, ready to hang by the door or stand on the hearth. It is also the mark we chose for gogmagog, so consider it a small piece of the workshop keeping watch over yours.
